Mission Bank named one of American Banker Magazine’s 2025 Top-Performing Public Banks with Under $2B of Assets
For the third year in a row, Mission Bank has been included in the prestigious list produced by consulting firm Capital Performance Group for American Banker Magazine. Banks making the list are ranked on their three-year average return on average equity or ROAE, according to year-end data from 2024.
According to Capital Performance Group top-performing small banks increased core deposits by 5.03% on average compared with 2.49% growth across all peers.
Mission Bank’s 2022-2024 average ROAE was 20%, with 2024’s ROAA and Net Interest Margin coming in at 1.74% and 4.31% respectively.
“This is the third year in a row we have made this list and it’s always an honor to be mentioned among such high performing institutions.” said Byran Easterly, Chief Banking Officer for Mission Bank. “I attribute our success to the hard work of our team, from the back office to the frontline. It’s the relationships inside our walls that keeps the machine operating smoothly, and it’s the strength of the personal relationships we have with our customers and our community that propels us forward.”
Mission Bank is in a time of expansion, with an increase in service area for customers in East Ventura County. As more opportunities open for residents in Westlake Village and beyond, Easterly is excited to see what 2025 and 2026 brings.
“Great things are always happening at Mission but now is really the time to see some movement. With possible rate and regulatory changes on the horizon, we’ll be here to help our customers take advantage. It’s all about growing together.”
